The smiles at the Weselton accent..

What I’ll remember most is the people! The cast, production team, and the shared experience of bringing this wonderful show to life.
From her early days performing in high school, university, and community theatre, to a dedicated 27-year career as a drama teacher directing and producing musicals, Lori-Ann’s lifelong devotion to theatre ultimately inspired her to found GBMTC. As the company’s president and artistic director, she has happily worn many hats behind the scenes over the years, frequently taking on the role of director and production manager to help bring musical theatre productions to life on stage. For Clance, GBMTC is a true labor of love, dedicated to providing a vibrant, welcoming creative space for local performers, volunteers, and the arts community. She extends her deepest thanks to her husband Rob, whose endless patience, wise advice, quiet encouragement, and unwavering support keep her grounded everyday!
Collaborating and working with such incredibly creative, talented, generous and kind people!!
Ever since she was a little girl, making things possible has lived in her heart, her mom still tells the story of Christina raising her index finger and declaring, “Me have an idea.” She has spent years both onstage as a performer and backstage in many roles, learning every angle of the creative process. Christina loves collaboration, community, and fundraising for meaningful causes. She is deeply thankful for her husband, Chris Horton, who knows that when she says, “I’ve been thinking…,” it’s time to jump in. This is Christina’s first time working with GBMTC and she is so grateful for the kindness the entire team and cast have given.
The friendships I have made and the saying, “Back to 1!”
Stephanie loves warm hugs! “Frozen” was a big part of the Gendron home for years after the movie released, with two little girls who loved to dress up as Elsa & Anna and sing and dance along to the movie. As the owner of Georgian Bay School of Dance, Stephanie has been dancing to the songs from “Frozen” with young dancers for 13 years and the music still has a magical effect after all these years. Stephanie loved sharing this experience with so many of her students and her daughter and it has been such a pleasure to work with this talented team and see the story come alive on stage.
Being endlessly inspired by the passion and creativity of the entire village who worked together to bring this magical musical to Midland.
This is Brian’s fourth GBMTC show, and second as stage manager. Each time he learns something new about bringing a story to the stage. He is lucky to be working with a dedicated and talented crew and cast, and he is grateful to be a part of the joy and magic that makes good storytelling happen.
Paul has an extensive -and varied – music and theatre background, having been involved in many stage productions including “Sound of Music”, “Oklahoma”, “Grease”, “42nd Street”, and “Hello Dolly”. He has also founded two community choirs, directed orchestras and choirs in performances of Handel’s Messiah and other master choral works. He is the former organist and music director at St. Paul’s United Church in Midland and is currently the organist and music director at Trinity United Church in Collingwood.
What a talented team: cast and the production crew! Humbled to be part of this venture!

He holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours Composition) degree and is currently completing a Bachelor of Education. Ian has previously been involved with the Georgian Bay Musical Theatre Company through their Curtain Call Showcase for Post-Secondary Performing Arts Students. He is grateful to be part of another GBMTC production!
I will remember the opportunity to meet new people, collaborate with the talented cast and crew, and watch the production come to life from the rehearsals to the final performances.
Maya is ecstatic to return for her third GBMTC production, taking on the roles of ‘Sven/Ensemble’, and Choreographer. Maya is entering her second year in York University’s Dance Program and is thrilled to make her first choreographic debut. Being on the production team for my first time. And getting to work with such an amazing cast and crew!
Jess is thrilled to be costume designing for GBMTC for the second time. She has loved bringing the magical world of “Frozen” to life through costumes that were exclusively designed and sewn for this production as well as finding thrifted pieces and borrowing from other production companies. Jess would love to thank her family who have served as models for her creations during the design process and who have put up with the whole house being transformed into a sewing work room this spring.
“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” – Maya Angelou
Watching the actors bring the pieces to life and bringing colour, warmth and surprise to the story of “Frozen”.
Amy is excited to be part of her third production with GBMTC. This year, Amy is having the best fun ever supporting the production backstage. She enjoys the teamwork, creativity, and sense of community that theatre creates, and appreciates the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated and talented group of people.
The joy it brings to the community.
Usually on stage, Holly has enjoyed discovering what everyone backstage already knew. Audiences may know her as ‘Mimi’ in “RENT” (GBMTC), ‘Sherrie’ in “Rock of Ages” (GBMTC), ‘Cosette’ in “Les Misérables” (KCP), ‘Mary Poppins’ in “Mary Poppins” (KCP), ‘Sally’ in “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” (HP), to name a few. Thank you to the incredible team who collaborated on every step of this build and made the process as rewarding as the final result.
I will forever be in awe of the incredible talent behind the scenes. Every challenge came with someone willing to share their expertise, lend a hand, or quietly suggest a better way to do something. It was an extraordinary group to learn from, collaborate with, and build alongside. I am so grateful to them.
Colin is thrilled to be returning for his 7th production as a Sound Designer with GBMTC. He is grateful for the opportunity to work with this stunningly talented cast and crew to bring this powerful story to the stage.
The chance to work alongside several generations of passionate contributors to our local arts community. This group is proof that it will be thriving for many years to come.
It has been an absolute amazing experience to be back involved with GBMTC. Big thanks to Dave for helping me with the lighting design and rigging and Jonathan and Christoph for their assistance with rigging and their mentorship.
All of the great people. I worked with some on “The Prom” and there are many new faces in this production of “Frozen”.
Jonathan has been involved with over 80 theatre productions in both community and professional theatre. You can find him involved with some technical aspect of most of Huronia Players’ shows. His ‘real job’ is helping artists create large public art sculptures, but theatre keeps drawing him back in. Every show has unique challenges to solve and that’s what keeps this hobby interesting!
Being a part of the creative team figuring out how to bring this magical world to life.
David is thrilled to debut with GBMTC, supporting “Frozen” on the running crew, lighting setup, and set construction. His 30-year theatrical journey began with Huronia Players YC’s 1993–94 production of “Phoenix Rising”. Since then, he has contributed to dozens of shows on- and off-stage, specializing in stage management, set construction, lighting and sound design / operations. Outside the theatre, David can be found performing with the GBSD Men’s Competitive Dance Team.
Spending time with my daughter.
This is Layla’s second GBMTC’s production in hair design. Layla recently graduated from St. Theresa’s Catholic High School where she excelled in Hair Styling and hopes to continue in this field during her summers off from pursuing her Bachelors of Fine Arts as a Dance Major at York University. Layla would like to thank her family and her teacher Heather Spence for all their support and encouragement.
Searching online through hundreds of wigs to find the best fit and McDonalds trips post rehearsals!
Jack of all trades, master of none. New to GBMTC, Vince blended his theatre knowledge and creativity to help bring the roles of ‘Sven’ and ‘Olaf’ to life.
Seeing the creative process from start to finish is always terrifying and amazing. Seeing the actors face light up when finding new exciting ways to step into the roles.
Ava is delighted to be returning for her third year with GBMTC. She previously performed as an ensemble member in “Bring It On” (2022) and “The Prom” (2024), and this year is excited to be stepping into her first ASM role. Ava studies Zoology at the University of Guelph and in her spare time she enjoys dancing, hiking, and baking.
I will remember all of the incredible people who made this production possible!
Theatre has always been where Paula feels most at home and at peace. What began with a backstage role in high school grew into more than 15 years in various roles with Huronia Players and GBMTC. Usually found in the Stage Manager’s chair, she’s delighted to be ASM for “Frozen”—a show her daughter, Henlee, adores. She’s looking forward to the day Henlee experiences the magic from this stage herself. This one is for you, Love!
What I’ll remember most will always be the crew—the laughter, the inside jokes, the quick problem-solving, and the teamwork that keeps the magic moving backstage. There may be snow, surprises, and a little “Frozen” chaos along the way, but it’s the people beside you in the wings who make the journey unforgettable.
Carli is a student attending Mount Mercy University in Iowa on a golf scholarship where she studies biology and biochemistry. She previously attended St Theresa’s Catholic High School where she performed in several music reviews along with also helping backstage as a dresser in past GBMTC productions. Carli loves being involved in the community and is excited to help backstage again this year while home for the summer.
Having fun with the cast and crew!
Dayden is thrilled to be part of her first GBMTC production, working backstage and as an usher for “Frozen”. Theatre has become a family passion, with everyone in her family involved in this production in one way or another. She is excited to be learning behind the scenes and helping bring the magic of “Frozen” to life. She hopes you enjoy the show!
This is Chris’s first time working with GBMTC and is thankful for the wonderful experience. Ever since he was a child, he always had a passion for how things worked. He would take apart nearly everything to learn what made things do what they did inside. Which led him down the path of being a powersports technician for 15 years. Now that he keeps his hands clean, dressed in collared shirts and fancy socks in the automotive financial department, Chris still loves to build and create things with his talented hands. This is Chris’s forth set build and he hopes you enjoy it!
Helping make the magic happen with the set.
Kirk is excited to be working with GBMTC for the first time. A self-proclaimed techie, Kirk feels most at home in the booth, where lights, sound, and cues come together to tell the story. For “Frozen”, he’s stepping out front to focus on set work. Kirk brings many years of community theatre experience, both as a performer and behind the scenes, and loves being part of the magic that happens offstage. He’s thrilled to collaborate with the GBMTC team and help bring this production to life, one perfectly timed effect at a time.
For a second time, Mike was drawn into the world of GBMTC set building by his enthusiastic wife and friends. He has put his building code knowledge to good use by ensuring the “Frozen” set staircase structurally sound.
Building on set day with his friends Steve and Dave.
Stephen Gendron enjoyed helping with set building for “Frozen”. He strongly believes that ‘Hans’ is wrongly perceived as the villain of the show. ‘Hans’ helps the people of Arendelle during an apocalypse caused by ‘Elsa’, arrests ‘Elsa’ for causing an apocalypse, and is ordered to execute her by the ruling interim government. Sure, he wants to marry into royalty (not a crime, Meghan Markle) and doesn’t actually love ‘Anna’ (not a crime) but he can’t cure her from the magic disease caused by ‘Elsa’. Also, Stephen has been on stage in previous GBMTC productions of “Legally Blonde” and “The Prom”.
Set build day with friends.
Christoph Boker discovered theatre in Grade 9 and quickly developed a passion for technical production. Beginning with a focus on lighting design, he has since expanded his skills into set design, and construction, as well as discovering the world of theatrical special effects. A dedicated member of the local theatre community, Christoph serves as a board member of the Georgian Bay Musical Theatre Company, helping support and grow community theatre in the region. As part of the crew for “Frozen”, he is excited to contribute his technical expertise and creativity to bring this magical production to life for audiences.
From early creative roots to a versatile career behind the lens and in the edit suite, Nate’s artistic journey has been deeply intertwined with GBMTC. Audiences may remember his groundbreaking performances on stage in Rent and Legally Blonde, but his vital contributions extend far beyond the spotlight. A dedicated visual storyteller, Nate has proudly captured the spirit of the company from day one, designing the promotional posters and handling production photography for every single show since GBMTC’s inception. Balancing performance with a keen eye for design, he is thrilled to be a part of the team bringing the magic of Frozen to life.

When I met with our production team many months ago, I shared my vision that every aspect of our production would emphasize the central theme of love and relationships. At its heart, this story is about the eternal nature of sisterly love, and everything that comes with building a true relationship.
Theatre is fundamentally about building relationships and making connections. The trust, communication, and support we explore in the script are the exact same values we rely on behind the scenes to bring a show like this to life.
Those connections are on full display tonight. Our design and construction teams worked tirelessly to build the physical world you see on stage, translating early concept ideas into stunning reality. Alongside them, our cast, crew, and production team have given 100% during the planning and rehearsal process, growing closer as a collective with every passing week. This dedication is matched by our incredible Board members. Whether we are staging full Broadway productions (like this one), putting on music revues, or showcasing our youth in our Future Stars Concerts, our Board members play active roles in every single project—working as cast, crew, fundraisers, and production team members. As a member of this Board myself, I am deeply grateful for how hard each individual works to keep our company going.
Our relationships span generations, too. This show marks an exciting first for us, as we welcomed actors under the age of 14 into the company. It has been an absolute pleasure working with them. They, along with our incredible teenagers and adult cast members, form a wonderful mix of new faces and returning participants. To all of the families—the parents of our youngest performers, the families of our teens, and the support network of our older cast members—thank you. Your support, patience, and encouragement are the backbone of our theatre family.
Operating a small-town amateur theatre company relies entirely on the relationships we build. Those relationships extend deeply into our community through our company sponsors and community supporters, whose generosity and belief in our mission make a production of this scale possible. We are profoundly grateful for their support, and equally thankful for every audience member. Whether you are here to cheer on a specific member of our cast, crew, or production team, or simply to champion the live arts, you belong here. Stories only truly come alive when they are shared, and your presence tonight is what brings this performance to life. Thank you for stepping in from the July heat just to be ‘Frozen’—a bold choice given the long winter we just experienced. I hope that you enjoy the journey you are about to take as we open the gates and let the magic begin!
