About

GBMTC

Georgian Bay Musical Theatre Company (GBMTC), formally known as Triple Threat Summer Company, is a not for profit organization that brings contemporary Broadway musicals to Central Ontario. Our productions are intentionally geared towards developing a younger generation of theatre enthusiasts here at home. Our objective is to encourage young adults to be involved in all aspects of theatre, including stage performers and musicians, as well as technical crew, stage crew and/or production staff members.

In the summer of 2013 Triple Threat Summer Company in partnership with Huronia Players brought the very successful and sold out run of the musical RENT to Midland. A year later we became GBMTC and have since produced five sold out shows; Legally Blonde in 2015, Rock of Ages in 2017, 2019 with our production of Mamma Mia, Bring it on in 2022, and The Prom in 2024.

Our goal is to make a difference in our community by igniting the fire of musical theatre in the 18 to 35 year old demographic, maintaining that fire for 35+ age group and inspiring those under the age of 18 to feel the same passion.

If you have any questions or would like more information about how to get involved with our productions we encourage you to contact us.
